La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology is currently enrolling for a Celiac Disease research study. The purpose of this study is to learn more about the body's immune response to Celiac Disease and to identify any proteins involved in the disease. We will also use DNA to study how genes influence the development of Celiac Disease. Understanding these basic mechanisms may help lead to better treatments and/or diagnostics in the future. Eligible participants must be generally healthy, between the ages of 18 and 65 and diagnosed with Celiac Disease by a physician. Participation will consist of one study visit to our facility to provide a 50 mL blood donation drawn by a certified phlebotomist. You will also go through a brief health questionnaire. By participating, you will be assisting in scientific research and advancing human health. Participants will also receive a financial compensation for time and effort. For more information, please visit lji.org/study, email at donors@lji.org or call/text (858)255-0680.
